Herstory: Clarissa was made as a gift for a special friend for her 50th birthday. Clarissa was the centre piece at a 1920's party held to celebrate the occasion.
The Critics: Since all the pics are rather small, it’s difficult to appreciate the work that had obviously gone into this little lady – the draped satin toque/snood and face are just discernible and Robyn has given her doll a very “real” face – this takes either lots of practice or a natural talent! Are those freckles across her cheeks? Lots of people opt for a cartoon face but I, for one, have a fondness “real” faces.
The boa covered the lines of the body making it hard to tell how the dress and body were designed . I’d like to have been able to say more, but I really couldn’t tell much from the photos.
Robyn, I can’t help feeling that time spent on trying to get slightly larger shots would have been well worth it! (I know the composite photo was only 29KB which is a fast load, but 2 photos of the same size would have been OK and 50KB is still a small size for a quality shot) Open her arms out and give us another look at her!
