| The Critics: I kept going back to look at this one
– not because it is so Erté but because it is so “Arty”,
excuse the pun! Patti had fun with this, that much is obvious.
What a labour of love to handknit fabric! The effect is very unusual and I love the way it wraps around her arms softly, and goes on to form the background. Even though there is not much costume to speak of, I find this a good example of “…letting go…allowing your creativity to flow…” I particularly like the needlesculpted faces – I’m constantly amazed at how much shape can be achieved with fabric, stuffing and a needle!
