| The Critics:Unusual to see a completely painted
cloth doll – the smooth surface almost gives the appearance of porcelain.
Making a vignette of her rather than just a doll in isolation is very effective. A tremendous amount of work has gone into the imaginative beading , particularly of the headdress and basque. I particularly liked the draped beading coming from above her head and spilling over the rail. Is she a tassel doll or are there legs underneath?…either way, she is a charming piece.
