Title: Maxie

Doll Artist: ACR4Profile / Articles / Webpage

Medium:...Cloth

Description: She is my design, crafted by me without use of a pattern. (This is the way I learned to make dolls when I was a little girl and it remains my method of choice.) Her body is entirely made of muslin over a wire armature. Her head is knit that I gessoed and painted. She wears a wig that I made from a synthetic second hand human wig. She has on her favorite blue sequined gown with a cutout in back. Her hat is made of the same fabric, adorned with dyed feathers and beads. She has chosen to wear long beads and a "diamond" bracelet.

Herstory: Maxie originally wanted to dance with the Follies but was told that she was too short (she's 18" tall) to be in the chorus. She's now hoping to get a big break as an actress
