Title: Lady Marion

Doll Artist: Betty Sherry Profile / Articles / Webpage

Medium:...Cloth-Papier Clay Media

Description: Lady Marion is a 22" cloth doll designed by me. Her head was needle sculpted and then the features were enhanced with paper clay. The wig was made from human hair. The hands are decorated with jeweled rings made of crystals and her nails are made from red plastic straws. The hat was sculpted with paper clay then painted and covered with silver and black glass beads. The top of the dress was made from an antique glove with Austrian crystals. The bottom of the dress and the drape is a lurex jersey fabric with seed bead black tassels. The stand was painted, stamped and metallic pens used to out line the details. The backdrop is a 28" round piece of Plexiglas that was sanded on both sides painted and glittered.
